Turn Your Tub Into a Shower You’ll Actually Love Using.

Tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most frequently requested services. Because we build them regularly, we’ve refined the process around the details that matter most—drainage, waterproofing, tile layout, and clean professional finishing.

Tub-to-shower conversions starting at $9,000

Designed for a fast, focused remodel

The Standard Tub-to-Shower Conversion

A clear starting package makes it easier to understand what you’re buying—and easier to customize the shower without turning the estimate into a guessing game.

01

Demolition & Disposal

Removal of the existing tub, tile, and backer materials as needed, plus hauling and disposal of project debris.

02

Drain & Shower Floor

Drain relocation as needed, a standard 4-inch center drain, and a properly sloped shower floor designed to move water where it belongs.

03

Waterproofing & Tile

New backer material, waterproofing membrane, professional tile installation, grout, and clean Schluter-style edge finishing where appropriate.

Why Trewick

One of the Things We Do Most

Every bathroom is different, but the core challenges repeat: demolition, drain relocation, slope, waterproofing, tile layout, and finishing details.

Doing this type of work regularly has allowed us to refine a repeatable process and become more efficient without treating quality as something that should be rushed.

You’re hiring a team familiar with the project you’re asking us to perform—not someone figuring it out in your bathroom.
Built right behind the tile

It’s What You Don’t See That Matters.

The tile gets the compliments. What’s behind the tile determines whether the shower lasts.

Waterproofing, substrate preparation, shower-pan construction, slope, drainage details, and solid installation all disappear once the finished tile goes up.

Our goal is simple: build the shower correctly from the inside out, then make the finished surface look just as good.

Built right behind the tile

The finished bathroom is only half the story.

Waterproofing, preparation, plumbing and substrate work eventually disappear behind the tile. We want clients to understand why those hidden details matter.

Designed to look exceptional — built to perform behind the finish.

We bring the same attention to waterproofing, plumbing, layout and preparation that we bring to the tile you see.

What working with us feels like

A familiar crew, realistic timelines, and work meant to last.

Bathroom remodeling is disruptive. We try to reduce that disruption with a consistent crew, a focused schedule, and construction decisions made for long-term performance—not just the lowest first-day price.

01

A crew that already knows how we work

We use a long-standing core crew that has worked with Michael for years. That continuity matters: the same expectations for protection, waterproofing, tile layout, cleanup and finish quality carry from project to project instead of starting over with unfamiliar day labor.

02

Typical project timelines

Tub-to-shower conversions: about 5–6 working days.
Tub replacement + new tile surround: about 5–6 working days.
Complete secondary bathrooms: about 7 working days.
Primary bathrooms: commonly around 12 working days.

Actual timing can change with scope, hidden conditions, specialty materials and custom glass.

03

Do it right once

There is a simple value principle behind our work: the cheapest option is not always the least expensive over time. We would rather build the waterproofing, substrate, drainage and finish details correctly once than create a bathroom that has to be repaired or rebuilt early.

“The most important part of a renovation is the quality work underneath with pipes, wiring and layout… Michael makes sure to get that part right.”

Focused service area

Less time crossing Houston. More time on the work.

Our primary focus is 77025 / Braeswood Place and Meyerland / 77096, with selected projects in nearby Houston neighborhoods. Attractive projects outside the core area may still be considered.

That tighter focus helps us stay responsive and reduces the time lost traveling between projects on opposite sides of the metro.
